Refinery of the Espírito Santo (RefinES) is being developed in partnership with the Oil Group, to be implemented in the Central Port area in the municipality of President Kennedy, in the extreme southern tip of the state of Espirito Santo. In November 2020, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed with Porto Central and Oil Group for the development of this project.

The plant will have the capacity to process Brazilian offshore oil, with 29 ° API, to produce MGO (marine gasoil), gasoline, diesel oil, and LPG (liquefied petroleum gas), meeting the demand of the Espírito Santo market.

The project will be implemented in two phases: the first with 20 thousand barrels per day of refining capacity and 30 thousand in the following phase.

The Espírito Santo Lubricants and Derivatives Refinery (RelubES) is under study to be implemented in the north of Espírito Santo. This modular project will have a refining capacity of 16 thousand barrels per day.

This plant will add value to Espírito Santo onshore oil, with low sulfur content, to generate bunker, MGO (marine gasoil), naphthenic basic lubricating oils, asphalt, and gasoline.

The proximity to the Espírito Santo onshore producing fields, including the existing infrastructure of port terminals, are determining factors for the economic viability of this undertaking.

EnP is also considering implementing RefineSE, Refinaria de Sergipe. Studies will be carried out to define the best location and profile of the oil to be used to produce oil products that serve the local market.
